As more and more businesses emerge, the demand to look for a speedier process of office work has become a necessity. Be it a multi-million dollar company or simply a startup, the need for a means to generate greater productivity is inevitable. This is where ERPs or Enterprise Resource Planning comes in.
BizRP is an ERP system software that can assist a business company to be able to seamlessly function. It enables businesses to carry out their tasks at a much easier manner. Since this provides a total solution it can handle assets, resources, supplies, logistics, finance, sales and tax issues, among others.
When it comes to a business, the entrepreneurs need to be informed about everything that is happening in their organization, as efficiently and as quickly as possible. Since time is so vital for businesses, having a quick solution has become a must.
Let’s give you a brief idea of how BizRP works. Say you are an entrepreneur and you own a superstore which has two branches, one in Dhanmondi and the other in Gulshan. Each branch has its own number of employees such as managers, accountants, etc. It is only inevitable that you would want to know about the daily activities that go on in your stores. So how can you find out which products have the highest demand, what volume of sales took place at your store or exactly how many people are in which branch? You could always go the traditional way and the tedious process of picking up your phone and inquiring, but often such communication can be unreliable. Here is where BizRP comes in. With a one stop solution to almost all issues, this locally made software can be accessed simply via the internet and also helps to cut down costs with its minimalistic platform.
Lutfar Rahman Nirjhar is the founder of KaritKarma and their flagship product is BizRP. It is the only fully functional cloud based ERP Platform built in Python 2.7 and 3.x with Flask. They have their own data center with its individual network infrastructure, which ensures that your stored data is completely safe.
It was in 2010, when SAP, a German company, was taking Bangladesh by storm. They were providing ERP solutions to several businesses across the country but at a very high cost. Nirjhar was curious about this new software solution and did some research on his own. It was during one of those days when Nirjhar and his friend Kanak, the owner of the clothing line Deshal, were hanging out and during a conversation Nirjhar talked about the prospects of providing ERP solutions at a much cheaper rate. He asked Kanak how it would be if the entire process of his clothes manufacturing could be automated, starting from the thread to the end product. Kanak was intrigued and a work order from Deshal was soon sent to Nirjhar. ‘Kanak believed in the idea and provided me with the work order.’
That was four years ago. BizRP has been fully functioning for the last 5 months. Nirjhar said the idea is to help a business to be totally automated. ‘Big corporations employ ERP’ said Nirjhar ‘but we want to cater mostly to SMEs whose yearly revenue would be roughly Tk. 10 Lakh’
The greatest advantage that BizRM has over other companies providing ERP is that it only costs Tk. 500 per account.
When asked about the challenges they faced, Nirjhar informs that initially they had some trouble with infrastructure and that maintaining a data center racks up huge amounts of electricity bills. However, the biggest challenge for them was a lack of awareness about ERP in our country in general.
‘There should be campaigns held to educate people about IT’ states Nirjhar ‘They don’t understand how technology can hugely benefit them in their work’
For a company that fully started business only 5 months ago, BizRP is doing pretty well.
‘We provide services to 39 companies at the moment’ notes Nirjhar ‘We hope to increase that number to 100 in the next 7-8 months’
Upon asking what his future plan is regarding BizRP, Nirjhar said he plans to go international and wishes to function in countries such as Bahrain and UK by 2016
