What is the media stack?
Five products. The complete media production chain.
The KaritKarma media stack is five products composed for the full print, web, and video pipeline. NewsForge is the AI synthesis newsroom (clusters, synthesizes, localizes, publishes after human approval). ViewCasta is the pure-Rust streaming platform for ISPs and operators. Pressable is the browser-native desktop publishing replacement for InDesign, with first-class Bangla. Loom is the visual Studio builder plus Scribe headless CMS for the web frontend. Foveio is the face-aware pure-Rust DAM with CLIP semantic search, launching now at foveio.com.
The stack signs on through Wenme, NewsForge and Loom enforce permissions through Darwan, NewsForge's media client is built to resolve image renditions from Foveio as it launches, and ViewCasta delivers its notifications through BitsPath. One vendor, one integration story.
The problem
Media companies are stuck in the last decade.
Manual workflows eat the news cycle
Journalists rewrite agency copy, translate, format, and publish by hand. NewsForge runs ingestion, clustering, synthesis, and multi-channel distribution automatically; your editors review and approve every story from a single queue before it ships.
InDesign is an Adobe subscription tax with no Bangla
Adobe's per-seat subscription rises every year and Bangla conjuncts still render incorrectly. Pressable runs in the browser with IDML import from InDesign, Knuth-Plass composition, and grapheme-cluster-safe Bangla shaping that never splits a conjunct.
Photos scattered across drives, USBs, and inboxes
Newsrooms store millions of photos in folders, USB drives, and email threads. Foveio gives one library with face recognition, CLIP semantic search across stills and video, governed IPTC metadata, and fail-closed Darwan authorization.
Legacy streaming middleware is end-of-life
Telebreeze and Stalker are running on borrowed time. ViewCasta is a modern pure-Rust platform with ABR transcoding, ISP edge servers, subscriber billing, and a real CDN subsystem, not a middleware bolt-on.
The products
Five products, one platform underneath.
NewsForge
The Autonomous Newsroom
Clusters multi-source coverage by vector embedding, synthesizes one original article through your own AI provider (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini), routes it through human editorial review, and publishes to 10 channels: Loom, WordPress, Drupal, Ghost, Contentful, Joomla, Strapi, Pressable, X and Facebook, ViewCasta. First-class Bangla.
ViewCasta
Pure-Rust Streaming for ISPs and Operators
Operator-grade VOD and CDN-as-a-Service with EPG groundwork for live TV. Pure-Rust platform that replaces legacy middleware (Telebreeze, Stalker) with ABR transcoding, ISP edge servers, and subscriber billing.
Pressable
AI-Native Browser Desktop Publishing
Replaces InDesign and Affinity Publisher in the browser. Rust plus WASM core, AI Document Wizard, Knuth-Plass paragraph composition, IDML import from InDesign, print-grade PDF export, CRDT real-time co-editing. First-class Bangla, Arabic, and Devanagari shaping with HarfRust, the Rust port of HarfBuzz.
Loom
Headless CMS with Theme Studio
The website builder with built-in trust. Scribe headless CMS (18+ field types, GraphQL and REST), visual Studio with 230+ elements, B2B-to-B2C catalog, trust scoring. The missing web frontend for news organisations.
Foveio
Face-Aware Pure-Rust DAM
Digital asset management on a pure-Rust core. Non-destructive RAW develop in the browser (WASM/WebGPU), CLIP semantic search across stills and frame-level video, face recognition, Whisper speech search, IPTC metadata governance, and a newsroom editorial workflow with rights clearance. Launching at foveio.com.
Why KaritKarma
One vendor for your entire media stack.
Instead of integrating five different vendors with five different APIs, billing, and support teams, get the complete media platform from one vendor. Shared infrastructure means everything works together out of the box.
Synthesis, not scraping
NewsForge clusters multi-source coverage by vector embedding, synthesizes one original article through your own AI provider, and gates every draft behind an originality guard plus mandatory human approval. 848 Go tests behind it.
First-class Bangla and HarfBuzz shaping
Bangla conjuncts render correctly because Pressable ships a HarfRust shaping engine with per-script font fallback, UAX#9 bidi, and grapheme-cluster-safe line breaking. Arabic and Devanagari are shaped natively too.
Shared platform across the stack
Sign-on through Wenme, Darwan authorization on NewsForge, Pressable, and Loom, NewsForge's media client built to resolve assets from Foveio, ViewCasta notifications delivered through BitsPath. One vendor, one integration story.
Print plus digital plus video
Pressable for print, Loom for web, ViewCasta for video, NewsForge for content, Foveio for assets. The complete media production chain from one vendor.
KaritKarma vs the alternatives
What this stack replaces.
Side-by-side against the Adobe subscription, the EOL streaming middleware, and the WordPress theme team that media buyers evaluate first.
| Capability | KaritKarma | Current option |
|---|---|---|
| AI synthesis newsroom with 10 publishing channels | NewsForge | Manual desks, WordPress |
| Browser DTP with shaped Bangla (HarfRust) | Pressable | Adobe InDesign (no Bangla) |
| Pure-Rust streaming with ISP edge | ViewCasta | Telebreeze, Stalker (EOL) |
| Face recognition plus CLIP semantic DAM search | Foveio | Folders, USB, email attachments |
| Headless CMS with Theme Studio | Loom | WordPress plus theme engineers |
| Single sign-on across the whole stack | Wenme inherited everywhere | Per-product SSO project |
Attributed claims: NewsForge channel count, lifecycle states, and AI-provider list are verified in the NewsForge codebase. Pressable shaping, composition, and import capabilities are verified in the Pressable codebase. ViewCasta crate composition and CDN subsystem are verified in the ViewCasta codebase. Loom Studio element count is documentation-sourced. Foveio face recognition, CLIP search, and Whisper transcription are verified in the Foveio codebase; Foveio is launching, with foveio.com live.
Buyer questions
Questions newsroom and broadcast teams ask first.
Six written answers so the call starts on substance.
- What is the KaritKarma media stack?
- Five products composed for news houses, publishers, and broadcasters. NewsForge is the AI synthesis newsroom. ViewCasta is the pure-Rust streaming platform for ISPs and operators. Pressable is the browser-based desktop publishing replacement for InDesign with first-class Bangla. Loom is the visual builder plus Scribe headless CMS. Foveio is the face-aware pure-Rust DAM, launching now at foveio.com. NewsForge, Pressable, and Loom inherit Wenme identity and Darwan authorization; Foveio signs in through Wenme and authorizes fail-closed through Darwan.
- How does NewsForge automate the newsroom?
- NewsForge runs a forward-only six-state story lifecycle: ingested, clustered, synthesized, in review, approved, published. The crawler ingests your configured sources, pgvector clustering groups duplicate coverage across languages, and a synthesis engine writes one original article per story through your own AI provider (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini, key encrypted per tenant), gated by an n-gram originality guard. Every story then passes a mandatory human editorial review; approval carries an explicit distribution schedule, and the connector hub publishes to up to 10 channels including Loom, WordPress, Drupal, Ghost, Pressable, X and Facebook, and ViewCasta. Localization is on demand into any language, translated once and cached.
- Can Pressable replace InDesign for newspaper production?
- Yes. Pressable is built specifically for newspaper and publishing workflows. It includes Knuth-Plass optimal paragraph composition (the InDesign-style whole-paragraph line breaker), script-aware shaping for Bangla, Arabic, Devanagari, and Latin with bidirectional text support, IDML import from InDesign, print-grade server-side PDF export, and CRDT real-time co-editing. Browser-based, no installation, with a Rust typography engine compiled to WebAssembly.
- How does the media stack integrate together?
- NewsForge synthesizes and localizes content, and its built-in media client is designed to store asset references in Foveio and request per-channel image renditions from it at publish time (the pairing goes live as Foveio launches). Loom and Pressable are first-class NewsForge publishing connectors, so an approved story can land on the web frontend and in the print layout pipeline from one editorial approval. ViewCasta delivers video and dispatches its subscriber notifications through BitsPath. Sign-on runs through Wenme across the stack, with Darwan authorization where policy decisions matter.
- Is ViewCasta a real CDN or a middleware bolt-on?
- A real CDN. ViewCasta is a pure-Rust operator-grade streaming platform: 13 platform service crates plus a 10-crate CDN subsystem with edge re-streamers, origin, GeoDNS routing, and pluggable content sources. It is not a UI layer over Telebreeze or Stalker. ISPs run the edge image on commodity x86 at their own premises and GeoDNS routes subscribers to the nearest edge.
- Does this stack handle Bangla typography correctly?
- Yes, where it matters most. Pressable shapes Bengali with HarfRust (the Rust port of HarfBuzz), falls back to the Noto Bengali families per script, and validates every line break against grapheme clusters so a conjunct is never split; caret and selection are conjunct-safe too. NewsForge treats Bangla as a first-class canonical or localized output language. This is not a translation layer over a Western product.
